stay lean. stay sharp.

teams are going to get

the belief: the future of business is small, sharp teams — not because downsizing is good, but because it's becoming the only way to stay fast. the why: you can't hire your way out of every problem anymore; every person added is another thing to manage, coordinate, and slow down for. the how: we build for the team of five that needs to operate like fifty — that's the whole design constraint.

not because anyone wants them to. because the pressure is already here. you can't hire your way out of every problem anymore, and the businesses that win won't be the ones with the most people. they'll be the ones who stay sharp while staying small.

we feel it we're a small team. we want to stay that way. so we build the tools we'd want to use, the ones that let a few people do the work of many without burning out or bloating up.

the belief: we won't tell you to run lean if we don't. the why: a company that preaches lean while bloating itself is selling something it doesn't believe — we'd rather be the proof. the how: pebble stays small on purpose; the tools we build are the ones that let us stay that way.

most software asks you to change for it. new system, new process, migrate everything, relearn how you work, and somewhere in there the thing you were trying to fix gets worse before it gets better. we think that's backwards. technology should fit into your day, not the other way around.

our products slot into the way you already work. they find the part that's slowing you down and take it off your plate. no rip-and-replace. no fighting the tool to get your day done.

a note from the founders. the belief: most software makes the customer do the adapting. we think that's the wrong way round. the why: the workflow that already works is the one thing you can't afford to break. change is a cost, and most software pretends it's free. the how: nudge slots into the chat tools you already use. you don't move your conversations to us — we come to where they already are.

and if changing how you work gives you real return, we'll say so. if the gain is marginal, we work with what you've got. we're not here to sell you change for its own sake.

We'd rather lose the sale than sell you something you don't actually need. That's how we've always done things, even before the AI era. For the past 9 years in the market, we've learned that trust compounds, but revenue from a bad fit doesn't. So if your current setup is already good enough, we will tell you honestly. Our answer will not always be "buy the thing".

we care how these things are made. in a world flooded with software that's rushed out and barely holds together, — the kind of care you can feel when you use it.

that's the whole idea. you stay lean. you stay sharp. you grow the business without growing the headcount, because the bottleneck is gone, not because you hired someone to babysit it.

we're starting with nudge. there'll be more. every one of them will hold to the same thing, or we won't ship it.

if you've used something we built and you're here trying to figure out who we are, this is it. we keep our team lean so yours can stay lean too.

stay lean. stay sharp.
